Master of Veterinary Public Health Programme (MVPH)

he Master of Veterinary Public Health programme (MVPH) was EU Standard accredited by APHGS (Accreditation Agency for study Programmes in Spacial Education, Care, Health Sciences and Social Work) since November 2005
      The MVPH Course for the Southeast Asia Region which has been launched with the beginning of the Academic Year 2003/2004 (October 2003) by the partner universities Chiang Mai University (CMU) in Thailand and the Freie Universitaet Berlin (FUB) serves as an example of “best practice program”.
Young and mid-career veterinarians and other professionals (natural, agricultural, medical sciences) from the Southeast Asian region with a background and training needs in zoonoses control and food safety are the target group addressed by the MVPH programme.

For the MVPH students, who 6 of them are supported through stipends from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and 6 of them received Scholarship from Thai Government and others received Scholarship supported from private companies.

The two-years “sandwich” programme in English language leading to a dual degree (“Joint MVPH of FUB and CMU”) follows a modular structure applying the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System – ECTS



      Six scholarships will be made available by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and six scholarships by Chiang Mai University , Ministry of Education – Thailand (available only for applicants from Southeast Asian region)
       Applicants are also encouraged to seek financial support for a scholarship from other possible sources such as government institutions, projects, international organizations (e.g. FAO, WHO, EU), non-governmental organizations and industries.
       Total course fees including tuition, course material, and bench fees for research work are EURO 18,000
